Prayer Vigil For New Zealand Victims

Prayer Vigil For New Zealand, Sunday at 6 PM – 7 PM
Huntsville Islamic Center
1645 Sparkman Drive Huntsville, AL

“The well-being of mankind, its peace and security, are unattainable unless and until its unity is firmly established.”

In the wake of the mass shootings at mosques in New Zealand, the Interfaith Mission Service is urging everyone to offer both prayers and commitment to stand against white supremacy. With thoughts and prayers for the families of the victims in our hearts, the Groundswell-Movement suggests that we “Love as sustained practical care. Love as courage.” Here are some actions that you can take to tangibly show our love:
1. Send a message of love and solidarity to the Muslim families of Christchurch.
2. Call or text a friend who is a Muslim or Sikh. Let them know they are not alone.
3. Visit a mosque or gurdwara near you and leave a sign or flowers to show your love and solidarity.
4. Pledge to fight white nationalism.

Peace be among you and to all who are in pain
